My Plan

Sister McKee,

As your service in the Texas Dallas West Mission draws to a close, we want you to know how deeply we appreciate the contributions you have made to the mission.  As the finish line approaches, we hope that you will continue to consecrate yourself to the Lord's work with a determination to sprint to the end.  Then, as you cross the line with honor, we further hope that you will take with you all of the excellent habits and knowledge that you have gained from your missionary service and put them to practice as a lifelong disciple of Jesus Christ.

You should soon be able to access My Plan, along with other departure information on your Missionary Portal menu, which have not previously been available to you.  If you do not see these by the beginning of your final transfer, please let us know.  It is important that you begin using some of your personal study time beginning six weeks prior to the end of your mission to complete the six modules in My Plan.  It will guide you through the transition from your missionary labors to a rewarding fruitful life.  Please plan to print out your My Plan prior to meeting with us at the end of your mission so that we can review it together.  Also, please make certain that you share it with your Stake President when you return home so that he can support you and hopefully provide a valuable mentor who will help you throughout your first year home.

Your departure date is expected to be on or about 11 Nov 2020.  We will provide the actual date and time as your departure approaches and we receive your travel itinerary.

Please continue to work hard and help your companion to do the same.  Please review Section 6 of Missionary Standards for Disciples of Jesus Christ and make a commitment to yourself and to the Lord that you will never stray from the path that you have encouraged so many to find.  Make that commitment be so strong that it may be said of you, as was said of Zoram, that our fears for your eternal welfare will cease with the knowledge that you will tarry with the Lord from this time forth.  (See 1 Nephi 4:37)
