Cold Hands

Hello Everyone!

This week was so much better! If I've learned anything, is that when you hit rock bottom, it can only go up or stay the same, and it goes up exponentially when you check your attitude.
This week may be the most awkward/funny week in a while. so much good stuff happened, just wait.
On Tuesday was interviews, and the first thing he tells me is "Sister McKee, I just told your companion how your life is a sad country song right now, "I lost my best friend, I lost my truck, I lost my people..." and you need to quit singing that song. Don't be so teary." It was really funny. I also dressed freaking sick that day and everyone roasted me on it, even though it was really cool. Pics included. I'm sad to say I haven't lost my sense of style.

That day we also had a Bible study with someone the Elders are teaching and it was really fun, except I think I scared him on my overzealousness for the Bible, but it was so fun. I love being able to use my love of the Bible for good. The guy we did the study with is named Josh, and we are working on the Elders sending him over to us and he is going to get baptized on the 27th!! Yay!
Jacob is doing so good right now! He got a JOB!! Which is so good, and a guy in the ward gave him a white shirt and tie and it was so sweet! He was so happy at church!
On Wednesday we went to the temple! Sister Dixon wasn't endowed and so we got to go do a session! It was so great! I loved going to the temple! It was so refreshing!

On Friday we had a lesson with Josh again, and I had prepared a really good Bible study and it was wonderful, but I had again gotten excited about the Bible and I had over prepared so he lost his attention span.
SUPER AWKWARD MALENA MOMENT:
So when the lesson had first started Josh was talking about how the wind was blowing and how he was cold. We were all grabbing each others hands to do a prayer circle (We fist bumped the Elders, don't worry) and he mentions that his hands are cold. I had been zoning out and said the most stupid thing ever, and said "You know, I just love holding Cold hands! Its just so nice, when one is warm and one is cold..." and I looked up and everyone was staring at me. It was so awkward, and Josh was really weird after that. and wow. guys, so awkward.
Another awkward moment is that while we were all cleaning the church and I showed up in my service clothes but everyone else was in proselyting clothes so I needed to change. The kitchen accordion door was closed so I went in there with the other sisters and threw my dress on over my clothes. As I was pulling my tshirt out of my sleeve this poor greenie elder OPENED THE DOOR AND THE SISTERS SCREAMED AND I JUST STARED AT HIM. HE was completely surprised too and we all just sat there frozen til after what felt like 30 years, I dropped to the ground. It was so awkward. Basically I did many stupid things this week. hahaha.
WE FOUND SOMEONE TO TEACH!!! HER NAME IS Jennie and she came up to us and talked to us in the park! Her ex is a member and so she was open to talking to us and we are meeting her for breakfast tomorrow!!
This week was awesome! I hope y'all have a great week!
Love,
Sister McKee
